After months of prayer, discussion and discernment the bags have been packed, the home has been sold, movers have arrived and left, kids have said goodbye to one s
chool and hello to another. Work has begun, church has begun, there are only a few hundred new names to remember and there are mountains now outside our window.

Epic is the only word to describe it. Some things are so big and hard that you can only just begin, there is no easy way. I think though that those are often the best things. God has been good though. Though meals, flowers and many great conversations about church life and life in general we have begun to feel at home.
Thanks to all who have received us so warmly. Thanks to all who are missed in Alabama! You are loved.

Good luck in Albuquerque!
From your wife's cousin (one of the OLD ones) way down in North Carolina...
Aaron, take it from this old preacher's wife who has moved with kiddos (though never as far as you folks) - these are the best of times. I know that the word "adjustment" has taken on new meaning. I know Amy must feel overwhelmed at the same time as feeling blessed way down to the tips of her mountain-hiking boots. (I still remember that picture of you two when you were first married). These are the times that those pk's are learning the best lessons as they adapt to new things and people and situations. And just think how flexible you all are becoming. I just know the Lord has exciting work for you guys. We follow with love and interest as you minister and grow with your new Church family. Oh, and by the way, we just might show up for your Thanksgiving lunch come November......
